Searching for Albums and Tracks to Play— Search Modes

This unit features the following four Search Modes to give you an easy access to the albums or tracks you want.

Album Number Search (ALBUM No.) : See below. To select and play an album after searching for it by its number.

Album Title Search (ALBUM T.) : See page 39.

To select and play an album after searching for it by its title.

Track Title Search (TRACK T.) : See page 39.

To select and play a track after searching for it by its title.

Last 10 Search (LAST 10) : See page 41.

To select and play one of the last 10 albums recently played or recorded.

You can use a PC-compatible keyboard for the following Search Mode operations (see page 73).

Album play, Library play, Random play, and Repeat play are canceled when you press SEARCH MODE

(Continuous play will resume).

To search for an album by its number—ALBUM No.

You can easily find and start playing an album by designating its album number.

On the remote control ONLY:

1 Press HDD 3/8, then 7.

The source is changed to “HDD.”

If you have already started playback, you can skip this step.

2 Press SEARCH MODE repeatedly until “ALBUM

No.?” is selected for “SEARCH MODE.”

The SEARCH and ALBUM indicators light up on the display.

Each time you press the button, Search Modes change as follows:

ALBUM No.?

 

ALBUM T.?

(Album number?)

 

(Album title?)

TRACK T.?

Canceled LAST 10? (Track title?)

3 Press SET to enter the album number entry screen.

The first number entry position starts flashing.

4 Press the number buttons to enter an album number you want, then press ENTER.

The selected album starts playing in Continuous play.

If the selected album number does not exist, Search Mode is canceled.

Ex. When selecting album 24

Ex. For album number 5, press 5, then ENTER. For album number 10, press 1, 0, then ENTER. For album number 36, press 3, 6, then ENTER. For album number 204, press 2, 0, 4 then ENTER.

For album number 1, you can also press ALBUM , then ENTER.

For the last album number, you can also press ALBUM +, then ENTER.
