Types of washing and care symbols

Care symbols help you to choose the correct wash programme. Washing should be sorted by type and according to care symbols. The tempera- tures indicated on the care symbols are the maximum wash tempera- tures.

Cottons ç

Cotton and linen items with this care symbol are not sensitive to ma- chine washing or high temperatures. The COTTONS/LINEN (BLANC/ COULEURS, WITTE/BONTE WAS) programme is suitable for this type of washing.

Coloureds è ë

Easy-Care washing ê í

Materials such as fine cotton, cotton-blend fabrics, viscose and syn- thetics with these care symbols require a gentler machine wash. The

EASY-CARES/EASY IRON (TEXTILES MELANGES/FACILE A REPASSER, KREUKHERSTELLEND/STRIJKVRIJ) programme is suitable for this type of washing.

Delicates ì

Materials such as layered fibres, microfibres, viscose, synthetics and net curtains with this care symbol require careful handling. The DELICATES (DELICAT, FIJNE WAS) programme is suitable for this types of washing.

Wool/silk and especially sensitive washing 9 ì ï

Fabrics such as wool, wool blends and silk with these care symbols are particularly sensitive to machine washing. The WOOL/SILK (LAINE/SOIE, WOL/ZIJDE) P(Handwash) programme is suitable for these types of fabrics.

Important: Materials with the care symbol ñ(Do not wash) must not be washed in the washing machine.
