Description of the appliance

Altering a programme which is running

To alter a programme, first set the machine to PAUSE by pressing the START/PAUSE button.

Before the machine starts the heating phase, i.e. within the first 15 minutes for cotton programmes, 10 minutes for easy-cares and delicate programmes and 5 minutes for the wool programme, the selected wash cycle can be modified.

Warning! If the programme selector dial is turned first to RESET and then to the new programme, the programme which is running is cancelled, the water is emptied out and the machine re-starts from water filling. To simply modify the programme which is running, turn the programme selector dial to the desired position (avoiding the RESET position): when the START/PAUSE button is pressed again, the machine restarts with the newly selected programme from the point at which it was interrupted.

Opening the door after the programme has started

The door can only be opened before the machine starts the heating phase (within the first 15, 10 or 5 minutes, depending on the pro- gramme selected - see paragraph above) and during the rinse phase.

Set the machine to PAUSE (by pressing the START/PAUSE button).

If the door does not open, this means that the machine is already heat- ing, or that the water level is above the bottom edge of the door.

This prevents water from spilling out when the door is opened.
