Problem solving guide

Opening the drum door in the event of a power failure

^Switch off the washing machine.

^Open the fluff (drain) filter flap and drain the water as described in "Cleaning and care", (fluff (drain) filter and pump).

Caution: if laundry has been washed at a high temperature, water drain- ing out of the machine will still be hot.

Always make sure the drum is sta- tionary before reaching in to the ma- chine to remove washing. Reaching into a moving drum is extremely dangerous.

^Pull the emergency door latch down- wards (see illustration). The machine door will then open.

To check water pressure

^Place a bucket under the stopcock.

^Turn on the stopcock.

If 5 litres of water flow into the bucket in 15 seconds the water pressure is cor- rect.
