The display for Position 2 shows that your boat's course is now 054 degrees. The steering indicator shows a deviation from your planned route that is still within the boundaries of your OFF COURSE alarm setting. A RIGHT OF COURSE message will appear, and the cross track error is displayed as 0.3 KM.

Position 3, your boat has drifted off-course. The course bearing of 045 degrees has not changed, however your boat's course is now 052 degrees. In order to return to your planned route, you should steer left. How severely you correct your course will depend on surrounding hazards. If no hazards are present, you may choose to steer the waypoint bearing (022°) without returning to the planned route.

The distance to the waypoint is 1.25 KM and the time to the waypoint is 6 minutes. The XTE is

0.49meaning you are 0.49 KM from your planned route. This is the distance drawn from a line 90° from the current leg to your current position. Pressing CLEAR will silence and reset the OFF COURSE alarm.
