Connections
The diagrams below show some basic examples of how the PXR4 can be connected. Refer to these diagrams, and make connections as appropriate for your equipment.
Connections must be made with the power turned off.
Input
Set the [INPUT SELECT] switch to the input jack that you want to use. (→ p.8)

Inserting/exchanging cards
SmartMedia (referred to in this manual as a “card”) is required in order to record on the PXR4.
1Open the card slot cover, located on the side of the PXR4.
The power must be off when you insert a card.

2Insert the card.
Insert the card with its contacts facing downward. Push the card all the way into the card slot until it locks into place.
Be sure that the card is oriented correctly.

Notch
To remove the card, press it all the way to the back of the slot to unlock it, and then pull out the card.
If you remove the card without unlocking it, the card may be damaged.
Be sure to close the card slot cover during use.
