Remote Operation

Ô NOTE Ô

If you wait more than 15 seconds between keypresses, the system

sounds a long beep and hangs up.

set the system to answer or not answer calls

listen to your messages

record a new outgoing message

record a memo

erase messages

You cannot remotely operate the system using its handset or another telephone on the same line.

SETTING THE SECURITY CODE

The two-digit remote operation security code prevents unauthorized remote access to your messages. The code is preset to 80. You can set the code to any number from 00 to 99:

1.Press MENU twice. The system announces “Security code,” followed by the currently set code. The code appears.

2.Repeatedly press or hold down gor f to change the number.

3.Press SET/RING to store the setting. The system announces the newly set code.

4.Press PLAY/STOP to exit.

To check your code at any time, press MENU twice. The code appears and the system announces it. Press PLAY/STOP to exit.

USING REMOTE COMMANDS

While in remote operation, the system stops all answering functions and Lr appears. Answering functions resume when the system is no longer in remote operation, if you have not turned the system off. The remote operation stops when someone picks up the handset or any phone on the same phone line. Ô
