16Using the phone

When you make a call, the backlight on the handset display comes on and the In Use light on the base flashes.

Press to enter a pause in the dialling sequence.

You can enter a pre-dial number up to 32 digits long, Only the last 12 digits will be displayed.

Call timer

Your handset will automatically time the duration of all external calls. The handset display shows the call duration both during and for a few seconds after your call.

Switch the handset power on/off

To switch off:

1.Press and hold until the display goes off. To switch on:

1.Press and hold for 3 seconds and the display will come back on.

Make an external call

1.Lift the handset and press . The and EXT symbols are displayed.

2.When you hear the dialling tone, dial the number you want.

Preparatory dialling

1.Enter the number first. If you make a mistake, press to delete the last digit.

2.Press to dial.

End a call

1.Press . Or

Place the handset back on the charger.
