54 Using additional handsets

6. Enter the 4 digit PIN code and press Menu .

If registration is unsuccessful, the handset will return to standby mode. Try moving closer to the base you want to register to and following the registration procedure again.

Handsets must be GAP compatible to be able to be registered to your BT Elements base.

When the base is located, your handset will display the base ID number, press Menu to confirm registration to this base or cancel by pressing .

The handset is automatically allocated the next available handset number which is displayed when in standby mode.

Registering another type of handset to your BT Elements base

At the base:

1.Press and hold until you hear a beep, then release it.

The base will now remain in registration mode for 90 seconds, during which time you will need to complete the registration procedure shown in the other manufacturer’s user manual.
