Useful Telephone Settings

ALARM”: For alarm

1Press {j}.

2Press {v} repeatedly to display “SETTING HS”, then press {>}.

3Press {v}repeatedly to display “RINGER OPT”, then press {>}.

4Press {v} repeatedly to display the desired item, then press {>}.

5Press {v} repeatedly to select the desired setting from “RING TYPE 1” to “RING TYPE 20”, then press {>}.

6Press {ih}.

Note:

LIf you select one of the melody ringer types, the ringer will continue to sound for several seconds if the caller hangs up before you answer. You may hear a dial tone or no one on the line when you answer a call.

Tone options

You can turn the following tones and alarms on or off.

KEY TONE”: Tones heard when keys are pressed. Includes confirmation tones and error tones.

CALL WAITING”: Tones heard when an outside call is received while on an intercom call.

RANGE ALARM”: An alarm heard when you move out of range of a base unit during a conversation.

BATTERY LOW”: An alarm heard when the batteries need to be charged.

Display options

Selecting the standby mode display

CLOCK: The time and date will be displayed. Set the time and date beforehand (page 8).

OFF”: Turns this feature off.

BS NO”: The base unit number will be displayed.

HS NO”: The handset number will be displayed.

Note:

LIf you subscribe to a Caller ID service, the display will show the number of new calls even if “CLOCK” has been selected (page 13).

LIf “BS NO” is selected, the base unit number will be displayed.

LIf “HS NO” is selected, the handset number will be displayed.
