Selecting area codes to be deleted automatically

In some situations, phone numbers stored automatically in the Caller ID list (page 39) will include area codes. If you do not want to dial the area codes when making calls from the Caller ID list, you can store the area codes which you want the unit to delete automatically.

Example: You have stored the area code 123. If you make a call from the Caller ID list to the phone number 123-456-7890, the unit dials 456-7890.

1Press {j/OK}.

2Select Base Unit Setup, then press {>}.

3Enter 0000(default base unit PIN). LIf you changed the PIN, enter it (page

36).

4Select Call Options, then press

{>}.

5Select ARS Settings, then press

{>}.

6Select Area Code, then press {>}.

7Select an area code location (1-4), then press {>}.

LIf the location already contains an area code, the code is displayed.

8Enter an area code (5 digits max.), then press {j/OK}.

9Press {ih}.

Setting call restriction

You can restrict selected handsets from dialling certain numbers. You can assign up to 6 phone numbers to be restricted, and select which handsets will be restricted. Storing area codes here will prevent the restricted handsets from dialling any phone number in that area code. If a restricted number is dialled, the call will not be connected and the restricted number will flash on the display.

1Press {j/OK}.

2Select Base Unit Setup, then press {>}.

3Enter 0000(default base unit PIN). LIf you changed the PIN, enter it (page

36).

4Select Call Options, then press

{>}.

5Select Call Restrict, then press

{>}.

6Set which handsets will be restricted by pressing the desired handset number.

LAll the registered handset numbers will be displayed.

LFlashing numbers indicate call restriction is turned on for the corresponding handset.

LTo turn call restriction off for a handset, press the number again. The number will stop flashing.

7Press {j/OK}.

8Select a memory location, then press

{>}.

LIf the memory location already contains a restricted number, the number is displayed.

9Enter the phone number or area code to be restricted (8 digits max.), then press

{j/OK}.

LTo erase a restricted number, press

{C/T}.

10Press {ih}.

Other options

Changing the base unit PIN (Personal Identification Number)

For security, the base unit PIN must be entered when changing certain settings. The default PIN is 0000.

KX-TG1822AL, KX-TG1810AL specifications

The Panasonic KX-TG1810AL and KX-TG1822AL are part of Panasonic's reliable and well-designed cordless telephone range, known for their user-friendly features and advanced technologies. These models combine functionality with modern aesthetics, making them an excellent choice for both home and office environments.

One of the standout features of these models is their DECT technology, ensuring excellent sound quality and a stable connection. DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) minimizes interference from other wireless devices, providing crystal-clear audio for uninterrupted conversations. The KX-TG1810AL offers a single handset, while the KX-TG1822AL provides a double-handset option, catering to different user needs.

The KX-TG1810AL and KX-TG1822AL come equipped with a large, easy-to-read LCD display that enhances visibility, especially in low-light conditions. The intuitive interface allows for seamless navigation through the phone's numerous features, including caller ID, call waiting, and a built-in phonebook that can store up to 50 contacts. This is particularly useful for those who frequently receive calls from important contacts.

Another notable technology present in these models is the ECO mode, which significantly reduces power consumption. This energy-efficient feature not only contributes to lower electricity bills but also promotes environmental sustainability. When engaged, ECO mode reduces the signal strength when the handset is close to the base unit, minimizing energy use without sacrificing performance.

Both models feature a long battery life, with the KX-TG1810AL and KX-TG1822AL providing up to 18 hours of talk time and several days on standby. This reliability means users can have extended conversations without the constant need to recharge their devices.

For added convenience, these telephones allow for intercom functionality between handsets in the KX-TG1822AL model, making them ideal for larger households or offices where communication between different rooms is essential.

Overall, the Panasonic KX-TG1810AL and KX-TG1822AL offer a blend of advanced features, energy efficiency, and ease of use, making them solid options for anyone in need of reliable and functional cordless telephones. Their ergonomic design and user-friendly interface further enhance the overall user experience, ensuring that making and receiving calls is straightforward and enjoyable.
