Remote Operation with the Handset

You can operate your answering system

 

with the handset.

 

The announcements and recorded

(OFF)

messages can only be heard with the

 

handset.

 

(FLASH/CALLÒWAIT/PLAYBACK)

Summary of remote operation

Press (FLASH/CALL!WAIT/PLAYBACK).

The number of new messages is heard.

Remote operation” is displayed on the handset.

To listen to the announcements and messages from

the speaker, press while they are heard.

To switch back to the receiver, press .

Enter the desired direct commands (p. 73).

If you do not enter a command, the voice menu will start (see below).

After the voice menu, all message playback will start.

To end remote operation, press (FLASH/CALL!WAIT/PLAYBACK) or (OFF).

The messages are saved.

The unit will announce the remaining recording time after playback, if it is less than 5 minutes.

If the unit starts to ring during the remote operation, press or to answer the call. The remote operation is ended.

If you hear “Memory full” after playback, erase some, or all, of the messages (p. 73).

Voice menu

If no commands are entered after you press (FLASH/CALL!WAIT/PLAYBACK), the unit will start the following voice menu.

Press 4 to play back new messages. Press 5 to play back all messages.

You can enter direct commands even if the voice menu has started.
