Making/Answering Calls

Note:

Temporary tone dialing (for rotary/pulse service users)

You can temporarily switch the dialing mode to tone when you need to access touch-tone services (for example, answering services, telephone banking services, etc.).

=Base unit / YHandset

Press {*} (TONE) before entering access numbers which require tone dialing.

Call share

This feature allows you to join an existing outside call.

Important:

L To prevent other users from joining your conversations with outside callers, turn the privacy mode on (page 22).

L When the other user uses the speakerphone, you cannot join the call.

=Base unit

To join the conversation, lift the corded handset when the other handset is on an outside call.

YHandset

To join the conversation, press {C} when the other unit is on an outside call.

Note for handset and base unit:

L You cannot join the call by pressing {SP- PHONE} on the base unit or {s} on the handset.
