Making/Answering Calls

Using the base unit

1{SP-PHONE}

2Dial the phone number.

3When the other party answers, speak into the MIC.

LSpeak alternately with the other party.

4When you finish talking, press

{SP-PHONE}.

Note:

LUse the speakerphone in a quiet environment.

LWhile on a call, you can switch from the base unit to the handset:

Press {C} on the handset, then press {SP-PHONE} on the base unit.

If the handset is on the base unit, simply lift it.

Adjusting the speaker volume Press {>} or {<} repeatedly while talking.

Answering calls

When a call is being received, the ringer indicator on the handset and the IN USE indicator on the base unit flash rapidly.

Using the handset

1Press {C} or {s}.

LYou can also answer the call by pressing any dial key from {0} to

{9}, {*}, {#}, or {INTERCOM}.

(Any key talk feature)

2When you finish talking, press

{OFF}.

Note:

LYou can change the ringer indicator color and the ringer tone (page 28). You can also adjust the handset ringer volume (page 28).

Auto talk

This feature allows you to answer a call by simply lifting the handset off the base unit or charger. You do not need to press {C}. To activate this feature, see page 27.

Temporary ringer off

While the handset is ringing for an outside call, you can turn the ringer off temporarily by pressing {OFF}.

{SP-PHONE}.

Adjusting the ringer volume

Press {>} or {<} repeatedly to select the desired volume.

LTo turn the ringer off, press and hold {<} until the unit beeps 2 times.
