Custom Installation and Configuraton

This chapter explains how to install the Digital Entertainer Express with custom setup, or with cables that are not included in the package.

For basic installation using the composite video cable included in the package, see the Digital Entertainer Express EVA9100 Installation Guide.

For a wireless connection, a USB Wi-Fi adapter (sold separately) is required. See the USB Wi-Fi Adapter Quick Installation Guide. To change your network connection from Ethernet to wireless, see “Network Connections” in Chapter 6.

Important Safeguards and Notices

Please observe these precautions, especially those regarding the risk of electric shock or injury to persons.

Danger: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover. There are no user- serviceable parts inside. This device should be used only indoors in well- ventilated areas. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or interference, do not expose this appliance to moisture or rain, and use only the recommended accessories.

Warning: Displaying static images can cause burn-in on certain displays. Do not display static images (such as menus, photos, or paused videos) onscreen for long periods of time.
