2 Press ¡ / ¢ or 4 / 1 to set the hour of the on-time, then press SET.

3 Press ¡ / ¢ or 4 / 1 to set the minute of the on-time, then press SET.

4 Press ¡ / ¢ or 4 / 1 to set the hour of the off-time, then press SET.

5 Press ¡ / ¢ or 4 / 1 to set the minute of the off-time, then press SET.

6 Press ¡ / ¢ or 4 / 1 to select the source, then press SET.

• The source changes as follows:

CD

REC

FMAM LINE

FM: Tunes into an FM station.

AM: Tunes into an AM station.

LINE*: Selects the external component as the source through the currently selected input— “ANALOG IN” or “DIGITAL IN.”

*To operate the component with the Recording Timer, it also needs to have the timer function.

7 If you have selected “FM” or “AM” as the source in

the above step, select a preset number.

Press ¡/ ¢ or 4 / 1 to select a preset station, then press SET.

If you have selected “LINE” as the source in the

above step, simply press SET.

REC

The REC (Recording Timer) indicator stops flashing, and remains lit.

8 Press to turn off the unit (on standby) if you have set the timer with the unit turned on.

IMPORTANT: If you turn off the unit within 4 minutes before the timer on-time, timer recording will not start.

To turn on or off Recording Timer after its setting is done

1Press CLOCK/TIMER repeatedly until “REC” appears in the main display.

REC = ON AM 12:00 = DAILY = ON AM 12:00 = AM 12:00 =Canceled =(back to the beginning)

* “AM 12:00” is the initial setting time at the factory.

2To turn off the Recording Timer, press CANCEL to

select “REC OFF.”

The (Timer) and REC (Recording Timer) indicators go off from the display.

The Recording Timer is canceled, but the setting for the Recording Timer remains in memory.

To turn on the Recording Timer, press SET.

The (Timer) and REC (Recording Timer) indicators light on the display. The settings you have done are

shown in the main display for your confirmation.

If you change the source or press CLOCK/TIMER or SLEEP while a timer recording is being performed

Recording Timer is canceled (but recording continues). The unit does not turn off automatically.

When you set Sleep Timer by pressing SLEEP, the unit turns off as you set by Sleep Timer.
