Lijado de superficies en la correa de lijar (Fig. 17)

!ADVERTENCIA Para evitar lesiones por causa de resba- lones, atascos o piezas arrojadas, ajuste el

tope trasero para que tenga una separación de no más de 1-2 mm con la superficie de lijado.

Cuando compruebe la separación entre la correa y el soporte de la pieza de trabajo, presione la correa hasta que esté plana contra el metal que está debajo de ella.

1.Sujete la pieza de trabajo firmemente con las dos manos, manteniendo los dedos alejados de la correa de lijar.

2.Mantenga el extremo a tope contra el tope trasero y mueva la pieza de trabajo uniformemente a través de la correa de lijar. Use precaución adicional cuando lije piezas muy delgadas.

3.Cuando lije piezas largas, retire el soporte de la pieza de trabajo.

4.Ejerza solamente suficiente presión como para permitir que la correa de lijar retire cualquier material.

Lijado de extremos en la correa de lijar (Fig. 18)

1.Es más conveniente lijar los extremos de las piezas de trabajo largas con la correa de lijar en posición vertical.

2.Mueva la pieza de trabajo uniformemente a través de la correa de lijar. Para tener precisión, use el calibre de ingletes.
