To configure the LECS address for your ATM adapter, use the elconfig set command.
Command syntax: The elconfig set command has the following syntax:

ATM_address is the ATM address of the LECS on the network.
unit_number is the unit designator for the ATM adapter in the filer.

Knowing the LECS address, the system can now determine all existing ELANs, as well as the ATM address of the LES. However, the LAN Type remains unknown until you configure the adapter to join the ELAN, which is discussed in “Configuring the ATM Adapter for an ELAN,” found later in this document.
