NORMAS ESPECÍFICAS ADICIONALES DE SEGURIDAD

Si no se siguen estas normas, el resultado podría ser lesiones personales graves.

1.NO OPERE ESTA MÁQUINA HASTA QUE esté armada e instalada según las instrucciones.

2.SOLICITE EL ASesoramiento de su suPErvisor, instructor o alguna persona caLificada si no está familiarizado con el funcionamiento de esta herramienta.

3.SIGA TODOS LOS CÓDIGOS DE CABLEADO y las conexiones eléctricas recomendadas.

4.CUBRA EL EJE DESMONTABLE ELÉCTRICO cuando no utilice los accesorios. Los ejes giratorios desprotegidos pueden producir un riesgo de enredo y provocar lesiones.

5. UTILICE UN SISTEMA DE RECOLECCIÓN DE POLVO con esta herramienta.

6.PRECAUCIÓN: ESTA MÁQUINA ESTÁ DISEÑADA PARA LIJAR MADERA o productos tipo madera solamente. El lijado o esmerilado de metal puede producir incendio, lesiones o daños al producto.

7.VERIFIQUE LA TRAYECTORIA DE LA BANDA DE LA MESA para evitar que se salga la banda.

8.INSPECCIONE LAS BANDAS PARA CONTROLAR SU DESGASTE y su tensión.

9.QUITE TODOS LOS OBJETOS QUE SE ENCUENTREN EN EL ÁREA DE LIJADO y en las mesas de entrada y salida (herramientas, piezas de descarte, etc.) antes de encender la herramienta.

10.NO lije las piezas de material que son más cortas que 178 mm (7") de largo o más finas que 0,8 mm (1/32").

11.APOYE TODAS LAS PIEZAS DE TRABAJO PARA LIJAR en una mesa o en un soporte adicional a la altura de la mesa. La única excepción es la pieza de trabajo curva en un tambor para lijar externo.

12.USE LA VESTIMENTA ADECUADA. NO USE ROPAS HOLGADAS O JOYAS. SUJETE EL CABELLO LARGO. MANTENGA EL CABELLO, LA ROPA Y LOS GUANTES ALEJADOS DE LAS PIEZAS EN MOVIMIENTO. Las ropas holgadas, las joyas o el cabello largo pueden quedar atrapados en las piezas móviles.

13.EVITE QUE LA PIEZA DE TRABAJO ENTRE EN CONTACTO CON LA BANDA DE LIJADO antes de encender la herramienta.

14.EVITE LAS POSICIONES DE MANOS COMPLICADAS. Un deslizamiento repentino podría hacer que la mano entre en contacto con la banda de lijado.

15.NUNCA UTILICE GUANTES o sujete la pieza de trabajo con un paño cuando lije.

16.SUJETE LA PIEZA DE TRABAJO CON FIRMEZA cuando lije.

17.LIJE con la veta de la madera.

18.INTRODUZCA LA PIEZA DE TRABAJO en la dirección contraria a la rotación del tambor.

19.NUNCA realice trabajos de trazado, armado o configuración en la mesa cuando la herramienta esté en funcionamiento.

20.DESCONECTE LA HERRAMIENTA de la fuente de alimentación antes de instalar o retirar accesorios, antes de ajustar o cambiar configuraciones o realizar reparaciones.

21.DESCONECTE LA HERRAMIENTA de la fuente de alimentación y limpie la mesa o el área de trabajo después de usar la herramienta. BLOQUEE EL INTERRUPTOR EN LA POSICIÓN DE APAGADO (OFF) para evitar el uso no autorizado.

CONEXIONES A LA FUENTE DE ALIMENTACIÓN

Debe utilizarse un circuito eléctrico independiente para las máquinas. Este circuito no debe ser menor a un cable Nº 12 y debe estar protegido con un fusible de acción retardada. NOTA: Los fusibles de acción retardada deben estar marcados “D” en Canadá y “T” en EE.UU. Si se utiliza un cordón de extensión, utilice únicamente cordones de extensión de tres alambres que tengan enchufes de tipo de conexión a tierra con tres terminales y un receptáculo coincidente que acepte el enchufe de la máquina. Antes de conectar el máquina a la línea de alimentación, asegúrese de que el interruptor(s) esté en la posición de “APAGADO” y cerciórese de que la corriente eléctrica tenga las mismas características que las que estén indicadas en la máquina. Todas las conexiones a la línea de alimentación deben hacer buen contacto. El funcionamiento a bajo voltaje dañará el máquina.

No exponga la máquina a la lluvia ni la utilice en lugares húmedos.

ESPECIFICACIONES DEL MOTOR
