MANTENIMIENTO

INSPECCIÓN Y REEMPLAZO DE LOS CEPILLOS

Antes de inspeccionar los cepillos, desconecte la máquina de la fuente de alimentación.

La vida útil de los cepillos es variable. Controle los cepillos después de las primeras 50 horas de uso en una máquina nueva o perió- dicamente después de que se ha instalado un juego de cepillos nuevos.

Después de la primera verificación, controle los cepillos cada 10 horas (aproximadamente) hasta que sea necesario un reemplazo. Los sujetadores de los cepillos (A) Fig. 44 están enfrentados en la cubierta del motor de CC. Un cepillo, que se quitó para una in- spección, se muestra en la Fig. 44. Cuando el carbono en cualquiera de los cepillos se gaste hasta 4,8 mm (3/16") o menos, o si el resorte está quemado o dañado, reemplace ambos cepillos. Si luego de sacar los cepillos considera que se pueden aprovechar, vuelva a instalarlos.

MANTENGA LA MÁQUINA LIMPIA

Periódicamente sople por todas las entradas de aire con aire comprimido seco. Todas las piezas de plástico deben limpiarse con un paño suave y húmedo. NUNCA utilice solventes para limpiar las piezas de plástico. Podrían derretirse o dañar el material.

Utilice equipo de seguridad certificado para proteger sus ojos, oídos y vías respiratorias cuando use aire comprimido.

FALLA EN EL ENCENDIDO

Si la máquina no enciende, verifique que las patas del enchufe del cable hagan buen contacto en el tomacorriente. Además, revise que no hayan fusibles quemados o interruptores automáticos de circuito abierto en la línea.

LUBRICACIÓN Y PROTECCIÓN CONTRA ÓXIDO

Aplique semanalmente cera en pasta para pisos a la mesa de la máquina y a la extensión u otra superficie de trabajo. También puede usar productos protectores disponibles en comercios y diseñados con este propósito. Siga las instrucciones del fab- ricante para su uso y seguridad. Para limpiar el óxido de las mesas de hierro fundido, necesitará los siguientes materiales: 1 hoja de Almohadilla Manual para Matizado mediana Scotch-Brite™ , 1 lata de WD-40® y 1 lata de desgrasador. Aplique el WD-40 y pula la superficie de la mesa con la almohadilla Scotch-Brite. Desgrase la mesa y luego aplique el producto protec- tor como se muestra más arriba.
