Uninstalling the HP Insight Control for RHEV GUI

The HPIC for RHEV-M has two rpms (hpicrhev and hpcs) which have to be removed to completely uninstall the HPIC for RHEV-M. To uninstall HP Insight Control for RHEV:

1.To uninstall hpicrhev, execute the following command: rpm -e hpicrhev

This command removes the hpicrhev rpm.

2.To uninstall hpcs, execute the following command: rpm -e hpcs

This command removes the hpcs rpm, which is a dependency for the hpicrhev rpm.

Uninstalling the HP Insight Control for RHEV database

The HP Insight Control for RHEV GUI must be uninstalled before you uninstall the HP Insight Control for RHEV database. To uninstall the database:

1.Run the uninstall script from /opt/hp/hpcs-x.x.x.x: # db_uninstall.sh, where

‘x.x.x.x’ is the version number. A prompt will display: Do you want to back up the database? [Yes]

2.Press Enter to back up the database. A prompt will display: Backup is available in / tmp/hpicrhev2014_03_26_09_55_15.sql. If you do not want to back up the database, type No or Cancel.

3.Another prompt displays: Do you want to continue with deletion of the

database?(YesNo): Yes. Press Enter to continue. If you do not want to delete the database, type No. Once the database is removed, a confirmation message displays:

Deleted the HP Insight Control for RHEV database.
