11HP 3PAR Online Import Utility for EMC Storage: Commands

This chapter provides reference to HP 3PAR Online Import Utility CLI commands that are used during online import.

adddestination

Adds a destination system.

DESCRIPTION

The adddestination command adds a destination storage system to the HP 3PAR Online Import Utility that is intended to be migrated.

PARAMETERS

Parameter	Mandatory/Optional	Description
mgmtip	Mandatory	IP address of the management station
		to connect to get details.
user	Mandatory	User name to be used to connect to
		management application.
password	Mandatory	Plain text password to be used.
type	Optional	Storage system family type like 3PAR
name	Optional	Name of the storage system or serial
		number or 64 bit
		hyphenated/non-hyphenated WWN to
		identify the storage system. This is
		required especially when there are
		multiple storage systems managed
		under same IP address.
uid	Optional	Name of the storage system or serial
		number or 64 bit
		hyphenated/non-hyphenated WWN to
		identify the storage system. This is
		required especially when there are
		multiple storage systems managed
		under same IP address.
port	Optional	Port number on which management
		application accepts request to connect
		and provide source storage system
		details. If not found, default based on
		storage system type will be used.
secure	Optional	True/False. This enables or disables
		secure channel communication with
		source storage system, wherever
		applicable. Default value will be false
		or default used by source storage
		system communication layer.

>adddestination -mgmtip 10.21.19.23 -user 3pardst -password 3parhelp -type 3PAR
