Mode Definitions

In 8254, six operating modes can be selected. They are :

ØMode 0: Interrupt on Terminal Count

ØMode 1: Programmable One-Shot.

ØMode 2: Rate Generator.

ØMode 3: Square Wave Rate Generator.

ØMode 4: Software Triggered Strobe.

ØMode 5: Hardware Triggered Strobe.
