Removing the Infrared (I/R) PCA

Required Equipment
•Small Phillips screwdriver.
Removal Procedure
1.Unplug the AC adapter, if present, and remove the battery.
2.Remove these additional assemblies:
•Hard disk drive (page
•Keyboard cover (page
•Switchboard PCA (page
•Keyboard (page
•Display assembly (page
•Top case (page
3.Disconnect the cable from the motherboard.
4.Remove the screws that secure the I/R PCA to the bottom case.
5.Remove the I/R PCA.
