Plasma TV/display image retention

A stationary image on your plasma TV/display may retain the image on the screen if left on for prolonged periods. To avoid image retention, follow these guidelines:

Always use a screen saver from your HP Digital Entertainment Center display settings.

Avoid keeping a stationary (unmoving) image on the screen for extended periods. Stationary images include but are not limited to:

The Media Center user interface or PC desktop

Still image/photo or video paused for prolonged periods

Use low-contrast colors for desktop background images.

Reduce brightness to around 50 percent.

After displaying any still image, play back a video in the Wide or Full screen setting for over three times longer than the previous still image.
