12 Appliance Setup

A. Remove Glass Assembly

Uninstall the existing crown by removing the four screws

See Section 12.L.

on the back side of the door. Retain the screws.

 

B. Remove the Shipping Materials

Remove shipping materials from inside or underneath the firebox.

C. Clean the Appliance

Clean/vacuum any sawdust that may have accumulated inside the firebox or underneath in the control cavity.

D. Accessories

Install approved accessories per instructions included with accessories. Contact your dealer for a list of ap- proved accessories.

E. Door Crown Installation

Open lower access panel. Pull out and unhook the two spring latches on the bottom of the appliance that secure the door.

Rotate the door forward approximately 1-1/2 in. (38 mm). Holding the ashlip, lift the door up off of the stationary latches and away from the appliance.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the black crown free on the right side. Remove the crown and discard.

Carefully align the left side of the crown into place, and wrap it across the face of door, finally snapping it into place on the right hand side. Reinsert and tighten the screws previously removed.

Note: Use a soft cloth and a window cleaning solution to clean all fingerprint oils from the gold or nickel surface of crown PRIOR to lighting the appliance.
