2.5.8 | Cooling Modules |
| The RAID subsystem is equipped with two (2) 1U, |
| modules. They are installed in the cooling module slots located in the lower section of the |
PSU modules (see Figure 2.12.) The two (2) 9.7cm fans housed in each cooling module pro- vide two (2) fan speeds. When the subsystem is running in normal ambient temperature, the fans operate at the lower speed. When the temperature reaches the temperature threshold, the fans automatically change to high speed to generate more cooling air from the front to the rear of the subsystem to extract the heat generated by the hard drives.
