Optional Equipment (for qualified installers only)

Accent Light

Make sure power to the heater has been turned off prior to installation (unplug the power cord).

Do not connect 110-120 VAC to the gas control valve or the on/off circuit on this fireplace.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTE FOR MODELS USING THE FIREBACKS:

Follow the steps below if installing the firebacks with an accent light.

Remove the burner.

Install the rear fireback.

Install the accent light.

Replace the burner.

Install the side firebacks.

1Remove the burner (see the manual for details).

2Install the accent light and remove the cover plate as shown below.

NOTE: To prevent heat-damage to the wires, make sure this clip holds the wires down, away from the burner.

NOTE: On the DVS, make sure to use the lower screw.

aRemove this screw, position the accent light assembly in the same location, and attach with the same screw.

bRemove this cover plate and gasket.

NOTE: The cover plate is here on the DVS.

NOTE: Once the light is in place, remove the protective covering. Do not touch the halogen bulb - this may lead to premature bulb failure.

3Attach the wire plate as shown below.

Route the wires from the accent a light through the gasket and

firebox floor. Use the screws removed in step “2” to attach the wire plate to the firebox floor (make sure the gasket is properly aligned).

Once the wire plate is in b place, pull the excess

wire through the grommet, towards the front of the insert.
