Close the individual manual shut-off valve to isolate the fryer from the gas supply piping system during any pressure testing at test pressures equal to or less than 1/2 psig. (3.4 kPa). The fryer and individual shut-off valve

must be disconnected from the gas supply piping system during any pressure testing at pressures in excess of 1/2 psig. (3,4 kPa).

In the U.S.A., installation must conform to local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the current edition of the National Fuel Gas Code, NFPA-54 and ANSI

Z83.11a CSA 1.8a 2004 (or latest edition). In Canada,

installation must be in accordance with local codes,

CAN/CGA-B149.1,Installation for Natural Gas Burning

Appliances and Equipment (latest edition) or CAN/CGA-

B149.2 Installation for Propane Burning Appliances and

Equipment (latest edition).

The inlet supply line must be properly sized to accommodate all individual appliances simultaneously used on the same line but must never be smaller than 3/4" I.D.

LEAK TESTING

Installation requires gas leak testing on all gas piping and fittings. Use an approved electronic leak device or a soap and water solution at all gas connections. If bubbling appears when using a soap and water solution, the connection must be refitted. Never use an open flame to leak test.
