SU~ACE CONTROLS

At both OFF and HI the control “clicks” into position. You may hear slight “clicking” sounds during cooking, indicating the control is keeping the unit at the heat level or power level you set.

Switching heats to higher settings always shows a quicker change than switching to a lower setting.

How to Set the Controls

Wsh the knob in and ~rn in either direction

to the desired heat setting.

The control must be pushed in to set only from the OFF position. When the control is in any position other than OFF, it maybe turned without pushing it in.

Be sure you turn control to OFF when you finish cooking.

The surface unit indicator light will glow when ANY heat on any surfaceunit is on.

Cooting Guide for Using Heat Settings

~—Quick start for cooking; bring water to a boil.

MED HI—Fast fry, pan broil; maintains a fast boil on large amounts of food.

MED-Saut6 and brown; maintain slow boil on large amount of food.

LO<ook after starting at ~; cooks with little water in covered pan.

WM+team rice, cereal; maintain serving temperature of most foods.

NOTE:

At ~ and MED HI, never leave food unattended. Boilovers cause smoking; greasy spillovers may catch fire.

At WM and LO, melt chocolate, butter on a small surface unit.
