Operating Other Manufacturers’ Video Equipment

By changing the transmittable signals, you can use the remote control supplied for this unit to operate other manufacturers’ equipment.

Refer also to the manuals supplied for the other products.

To operate these components with the remote control, first you need to set the manufacturers’ code each for TV, CATV converter, VCR and DVD player.

After replacing batteries of the remote control, set the manufacturers’ codes again.

To change the transmittable signals for operating a TV

1Press and hold TV .

2Press TV/DBS.

3Enter manufacturer’s codes using buttons 1 – 9, and 0.

4Release TV .

Now, you can perform the following operations on the TV.

TV

: Turn on or off the TV.

TV/VIDEO

: Set the input mode (either TV or VIDEO).

 

 

TV VOL +/–

: Adjust the volume.

 

 

After pressing TV/DBS, you can perform the following operations on the TV:

CH +/–

: Change the channels.

1 – 9, 0, +10 (100+) : Select a channel.

: Function as the ENTER button.

5Try to operate your TV by pressing TV .

When your TV turns on or off, you have entered the correct codes.

If there are more than one code listed for your brand of TV,

try each one until the correct one is entered.

3Enter manufacturer’s codes using buttons 1 – 9, and 0.

4Release CATV/DBS .

Now, you can perform the following operations on the CATV converter or DBS tuner.

CATV/DBS

: Turn on or off the CATV converter or DBS tuner.

 

 

After pressing CATV/DBS CONTROL, you can perform the following operations on the CATV converter or DBS tuner:

: Change the channels.
