Installation

ÊSet the DISPLAY variable:

#DISPLAY=<myhost>:0

ÊEnter the following command to change to the product directory on the CD:

#cd /mnt/cdrom

ÊInvoke the following command:

#./autorun

ÊChoose the nsrora package.

The installation is performed with rpm (see rpm(8)). The software to be installed is packaged in RPMs. These are installed automatically with the fol- lowing command:

# rpm -i nsrora

The installation directory cannot be selected. All programs are installed under /opt/nsr.

ÊThe NSR-ORA daemon amon can be started following the installation by invoking the following script:

RedHat LINUX

# /etc/rc.d/init.d/nsrora_amon start

SuSE LINUX

# /etc/rc.d/nsrora_amon start

The NSR-ORA configuration and the associated protocol files are stored in the /home/nsr/oracle directory.

Use the following command to uninstall NSR-ORA under LINUX:

#rpm -e nsrora

HP-UX

Proceed as follows for installations under HP-UX:

ÊMount the CD

# mount -o cdcase <device> /cdrom

ÊChange to the /tmp directory
