Installation and Configuration Configuration
ORACLE_SID
Name of the ORACLE entity. If several ORACLE databases are installed on
the same computer, NSR-ORA can distinguish them clearly by means of the
ORACLE_SID.
ORACLE_OWNER
ORACLE owner.
ORACLE_GROUP
ORACLE owner group.
ORACLE_HOME
Directory where ORACLE is installed in.
NetWorker Parameters
NSR_INST=/opt/nsr
NetWorker installation directory. It is recommended to include the paths
${NSR_INST}/oracle/bin and ${NSR_INST}/oracle/config in the shell variable
PATH ; these paths contain the NSR-ORA software.
Subsequently you will be asked, whether you want the backups to be splitted
onto several days of the week. If you enter y, you kann define a splitting as
described in section “Defining backup sets (save sets)”.
If a backup session is splitted, a Recover until Time is no more possible.
Now the tool will ask you, whether you want to perform offline backups, too. Ans-
wering y a corresponding client will be creted as described in section “Offline
Backup of the Database”.
NSR_SERVER
Here enter the NetWorker server.
Thereafter configure_nsrora asks you whether you are using a NetWorker cluster
server. When you enter y you will be asked to define an additional parameter.
CONTR_SERVER
If the backups under NetWorker are to be carried out via a NetWorker server
cluster you use this parameter to specify the control server of the cluster.
