3. Wait for the Cylinder ID.
•Follow all user prompts:
❒Work steering wheel
❒Pump brake pedal and cycle overdrive (OD) cancel switch.
✓Observe the screen for the prompt to perform the next action.
❒Quickly press and release the throttle. One time only!
✓If no DTC is present, continue with
the paragraph following the note
below. If any DTC(s) are present,
the Cyl Balance Test stops and
the Scan Tool displays the screen
to the right.
✓Select YES to review the DTC(s),
then turn engine off. Record them
and make repairs before repeating
the Cyl Balance Test.
✓In the next step, do not touch any
vehicle or Scan Tool keys while the
test is running. Allow engine to idle.
Engine speed may drop or become
uneven — this is normal.
4. Start Cyl Balance Test.
•Depress and release the
throttle halfway within the next
1.5 minutes.
•Press
ENTER to continue.
•Do not move the throttle.
Correct all faults
and rerun test.
