Never operate the tool while driving. Have another
person assist with the operation of the Scan Tool.
This function can be performed with KOEO or KOER.

2.Confirm selection.

•Press LEFT or RIGHT
to move the brackets to the desired
response.
• Press ENTER.
If a recording currently exists in
memory, a message to Erase Old
Recording is displayed. The Scan
Tool stores only one recording at a
time, so be sure to review it before
erasing it.
Multiple Group Vehicles
Some vehicles display a Select Group screen for recording data.
In these cases, only one group of data can be recorded at a time.
Recording another group of data overwrites the present one.
3. Select Trigger Method.
•Use
UP
or
DOWN
arrow
key until desired trigger
method is highlighted.
Manual Trigger begins
recording when the ENTER
key is pressed.
Trigger on Codes begins
recording when a diagnostic
trouble code (DTC) is stored in
the PCM.
•Select a method and press ENTER.
If Manual Trigger is selected,
press ENTER to begin
recording. Trigger on Codes will
not show this screen.
