The following driver installation scenarios are described:
■Installing the Driver in Windows 2000
■Updating the Driver in Windows 2000

Installing the Driver in Windows2000

To install the driver:
1Install your Adaptec iSCSI adapter according to the instructions
in Chapter2.
2Start Windows and log in with administrative privileges.
The Windows Found New Hardware Wizard automatically
detects the new hardware.
The adapter is identified as a PCI Memory Controller. Later, it will
be identified as a SCSI and RAID controller in the Device Manager.
3Click Next.

Select
Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)
and then click Next.
5On the Locate Driver Files window, select CD-ROM drives.
6Insert the Adaptec iSCSI installation CD and then click Next.
7On the Driver Files Search Results window, select Next and
follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
8If the Digital Signature Not Found window displays, click Yes
to continue.
9On the Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard window,
click Finish.
10 After the driver installation is finished, the Found New
Hardware Wizard window displays a second time, requesting
that you install the Adaptec ASAMGMT Processor Device.
Click Yes.
