Configuring Your iSCSI System

Running iConfig on Red Hat Linux

1Login as root.

2To mount the Adaptec iSCSI installation CD, enter:

mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

3To change to the Linux directory on the CD, enter:

cd /mnt/cdrom/”Configuration Utilities”/Linux

4To copy the utility to your local hard drive, enter:

cp -v iconfig /sbin

5Enter iconfig

6At the login prompt, enter the default user ID, admin

7At the password prompt, enter the default password, adaptec

The iConfig Express Setup instructions are displayed.

Now that you have started iConfig, proceed to Using Express Setup

to Configure Your iSCSI Adapter on page4-4.
