CONFIGURING SESSIONS 6

Configure sessions between the modem and a service provider using the EasySession pages. The Megabit Modem 400F supports up to 32 simultaneous RFC 1483 sessions.

There are many options from which you select when configuring sessions. See “Selecting a Configuration Model” on page 36 to determine the easiest and most efficient way set up sessions.

After determining the configuration model, set up the connection between the modem and the service provider (WAN) and the connection between your network users and the modem (LAN). After configuring the WAN and LAN for RFC 1483 Bridging/Routing, see page 46 for “Activating and Deactivating Sessions.”
