IP/Static Routes

Static Routes can be inserted under this menu.

Static Routes/Active

Write security: 4; Read security: 5

Adds this static route entry to the IP routing table when set to Yes (def) and removes it (if it was previously added) if set to No.

Static Routes/IP Address

Write security: 4; Read security: 5

This is the IP address of the host or network address of the device being routed to.

Static Routes/Subnet Mask

Write security: 4; Read security: 5

This mask determines the bits in the previous IP address that are used. If this is to be a host route, it must be set to all ones (255.255.255.255).

Static Routes/Gateway

Write security: 4; Read security: 5

This is the IP address of the router to receive the forwarded IP packet.

Static Routes/Hops

Write security: 4; Read security: 5

This is the number of router hops required to get to the network or host. Max- imum distance is 15 hops.

Static Routes/Private

Write security: 4; Read security: 5

When set to No, the Express L768/L1.5 will advertise this static route using RIP. Otherwise, setting to Yes means that the route is kept private.
