Using the Agilent 81133A/81134A Pulse Generator Combining Parameters for Signal Generation
68 Agilent 81133A/81134A Pulse Generator User’s Guide, January 2005
Combining Parameters for Signal Generation
The following table shows you how the various modes and parameters
can be combined. Empty cells indicate that the combination is not
applicable:
NOTE For the clock source, the Internal YIG Oscillator, Exter nal Clock Input
and 10 MHz Reference can be used as the clock source for all
combinations. The Internal D irect and External Direct can only be
used as the clock source for Square pattern mode and NRZ signal
mode.

Instrument Modes

The instrument provides the following modes:
• Pulse/Pattern Mode
In this mode, each channel can be set independently to generate a
continuous stream of:
Square waves (clocks) of fixed width
Pulses with selectabl e width or duty cycle
Instrument Mode Pulse/Pattern Burst RBurst
Pattern Mode Square Pulse Data/PRBS Data Data
Signal Mode R1 RZ NRZ R1 RZ NRZ R1 RZ NRZ
