One of the great features of the MiniDisc is that you can search for desired tracks quickly. There are also quick and easy functions for random playback, in which the order of the tracks can be rearranged randomly, and for renumbering tracks to play them in any order.

The limitations of MD

Recording on the MD is performed differently from that of a cassette tape or a DAT. Therefore, the MD system is subject to the following restrictions.

“DISCFULL” is displayed even if the recording time does not reach the maximum recordable time of the disc (60-minute, 74-minute or 80-minute). “DISCFULL” is displayed when 254 tracks are already recorded on a disc, without regard to the recording time.

“DISCFULL” is displayed even if a disc is not fully recorded on.

If there are lots of emphasis data in a particular track, the unit handles the data as index codes, and tracks are counted, in addition, without regard to the time and number of tracks.

Hinweis zur Kondensation

Wenn das Gerät plötzlich von einem kalten an einen warmen Ort gebracht wird, kann sich Kondensation auf der Tonabnehmerlinse bilden und Wiedergabeschwierigkeiten bewirken.

In diesem Fall das Gerät einige Stunden lang zur Akklimatisierung stehenlassen und dann die Wiedergabe erneut versuchen.

Hinweis zum Umgang mit MD→ A

Da MDs in einer Cassette ageliefert werden, die die enthaltene Disc vor Fingerabdrücken und Staub schützt, muß man beim Umgang mit den MDs nicht besonders vorsichtig sein.

Verschmutzte oder schadhafte Cassetten

können aber zu Fehlfunktionen im Gerät führen. Beachten Sie beim Umgang mit MDs die folgenden Tips.

•Die Cassette in der beiliegenden Hülle aufbewahren.

•Nicht den Verschluß b der Cassette öffnen, um die enthaltene Disc c direkt zu berühren. Wenn die enthaltende Disc verschmutzt wird, ist sie sehr schwierig zu reinigen. Die Cassette kann ebenfalls beschädigt werden.

•Den Verschluß schließen, falls er sich beim Umgang mit oder beim Einsetzen einer Disc öffnet. Andernfalls kann Staub eindringen oder die Disc zerkratzt werden.

Wenn eine fehlerhafte Anzeige auftritt→ B

Stellen Sie das Gerät durch Drücken der RESET-Taste an der Unterseite des Geräts mit einem dünnen spitzen Gegenstand zurück.

Reinigen des Gehäuses

Mit einem weichen, leicht mit neutralem

Reinigungsmittel befeuchteten Tuch abwischen.

Keine flüchtigen organischen Lösungsmittel wie Alkohol, Benzol oder Terpentin zur Reinigung verwenden.

Remarque sur la condensation

Si l’appareil est brusquement déplacé d’un endroit froid à un endroit chaud, ce changement rapide de température pourra provoquer une condensation d’humidité sur la lentille de lecture, ce qui pourra se traduire par un mauvais fonctionnement ou des difficultés de lecture.

Si cela arrive, laissez l’appareil tel quel pendant quelques heures, puis essayez à nouveau de lire un disque.

Remarque sur la manipulation des MD (MiniDisc) → A

Comme les MD se présentent sous forme de cartouche a protégeant le disque à l’intérieur des empreintes de doigts et de la poussière, il est inutile de les manipuler avec un soin excessif. Mais une cartouche sale ou endommagée pourra provoquer un mauvais fonctionnement de l’appareil.

Suivez les conseils ci-dessous pour la manipulation des MD.

•Conservez la cartouche dans sa boîte.

•N’ouvrez pas le volet b de la cartouche pour toucher directement le disque c à l’intérieur. Si le disque à l’intérieur est sali, il sera très difficile de le nettoyer. La cartouche peut aussi être endommagée.

•Refermez le volet s’il s’ouvre pendant la manipulation ou l’éjection d’un disque. Sinon, de la poussière pourrait pénétrer à l’intérieur ou le disque pourrait être rayé.

En cas d’affichage erroné → B

Réinitialisez l’appareil en pressant le bouton RESET sur le dessous de l’appareil avec une tige fine.

Nettoyage du coffret

Utilisez un chiffon doux légèrement humidifié de solution détergente.

N’utilisez pas de solvants puissants,	9
tels qu’alcool, benzine ou diluant.
