OPERATION
7.2 Setting Deck Pitch
To facilitate safe and efficient operation, the mower should be operated with the deck approximately
3/4” LOWER IN THE FRONT THAN THE REAR.
Operating the mower at this pitch will allow the mower to cut the grass only once and requires less work from the tractor. In addition, a more even distribution of the clippings from the rear of the mower will be achieved with this deck pitch.
Adjust the leveling rods linking the tongue to the rear axle until the front of the mower is at least 3/4” lower in the front that than the rear. To lower the front, lengthen the leveling rods and to raise the front shorten the leveling rods. IMPORTANT: Adjust the leveling rods the same amount and maintain equal tension in the rods. Improper
adjustment may cause rods to snap or bend. Retighten the jamnuts after the deck pitch has been set.
8. PRE-OPERATION INSPECTION AND SERVICE
Before each use, a
Always disconnect the main PTO Driveline from the Tractor before performing service on the Implement. Never work on the Implement with the tractor PTO driveline connected and running. Rotating Parts, Blades or Drivelines could turn without warning and cause immediate entanglement, injury or death.
DO NOT allow any person under a folded wing unless wing is securely locked up or supported. DO NOT approach the Implement unless the Tractor is turned off and all motion has ceased. Never work under the frame work, or any lifted component unless the implement is securely supported or blocked up. A sudden or inadvertent fall by any of these components could cause serious injury or even death.
