To turn the lamp off, press and hold the Manual background key for about two seconds. When you turn the lamp off, the projector’s fans will continue to run for about two minutes. Allow the fans to run until they automatically turn off. This will lengthen the lamp life and help ensure that the projector cools properly. Turning the lamp off does not turn off the projector. To turn the power off, move the power switch on the back of the projector to the OFF position.

After you turn off the lamp, you can immediately turn it back on within five seconds. If you wait longer than five seconds, you must then wait 90 seconds before turning it back on. This is a built-in feature that helps to prevent lamp damage. Press the Manual background key again to turn the lamp back on. The lamp illuminates slowly in order to prolong lamp life.

The projector has safeguards built in to protect it from overheating. In the rare event that the projector overheats, the lamp will turn off automatically and the overtemp indicator on the Control Panel will illuminate.
