Health and Safety Information
Exposure to Radio Frequency (RF) Signals:
The wireless phone is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed and manufactured not to
exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal
Communications Commission (FCC) of the U.S. Government. These limits are part of
comprehensive guidelines and establish permitted levels of RF energy for the general
population. The guidelines are based on the safety standards previously set by both U.S. and
international standards bodies. These standards include a substantial safety margin designed
to assure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health.
This device and its antenna must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other
antenna or transmitter.
This EUT has been shown to be capable of compliance for localized specific absorption rate
(SAR) for uncontrolled environment/general population exposure limits specified in ANSI/IEEE
Std. C95.1-1992 and had been tested in accordance with the measurement procedures
specified in FCC/OET Bulletin 65 Supplement C (2001) and IEEE 1528-2003
Power Supply
The mains voltage of the adapter should match the local mains voltage, this can be 110 V or
220 V. Check if both voltages do match before installing the charger and adapter.
Safety Precautions
zDo not open the telephone or charger, this could expose you to high voltages. Have all
repairs carried out by authorized service personnel.
zDo not allow the charger and the battery contacts to come into contact with conductive
objects such as keys, paper clips, rings or bracelets.
zDo not allow the telephone and charger to come into contact with water or chemicals.
zOnly use the plug-in AC adapter and appropriate battery type.
zDo not use AC adapters which are visibly damaged (cracked or broken housing) and keep
the ventilation slits on the plug-in AC adapters free.
zDo not use the telephones in vehicles or in hazardous locations.
zThis product contains magnetic material. Be aware that small metallic objects may stick to
the loudspeaker. This may deteriorate the audio quality and can be harmful.
