Arguments
Continued: In addition to a telephone number, the following Dial
Modifiers may be used with the dial command:
P (Pulse) used with a dial command to indicate a
voice call. Must be the first character in the dial string or
the stored telephone number.
T (Tone) used with the dial command to indicate a
data call. Must be the first character in the dial string or
the stored telephone number. A data call will be dialed if
neither the P or T dial modifier is used.
, (Comma) may be used to provide a dialing pause
for second dial tone. For voice calls, the pause interval
is controlled by the setting of S-register S8. For data
calls, the delay is controlled by the PBX.
; (Semicolon) used to delimit a dial command from
other commands that follow it on the same command
line. The semicolon dial modifier causes the 8400B Plus
Data Module to remain in command mode after the call
is dialed.
S=n used to dial a telephone number stored with the
&Zn=x command.
