Configuring Power save To configure how long the handset remains idle before entering an
energy-saving state, perform the following steps:
5. Press the Clr key one or more times to return to the
idle display.
1. Open the Display menu using the steps in
“Accessing the Display settings menu” (page189).
2. Press the Up or Down key to highlight the Power
save option.
3. Press the Select soft key.
4. Use the Dialpad to enter the time period:
— the first value (from 1 to 59 seconds) defines
the time before the display becomes dim.
— the second value (from 1 to 59 seconds)
defines the time before the display switches off
(after the display becomes dim). If you
configure the second value as 0, the display
never switches off and the handset battery
discharges faster.
Attention: To conserve the battery charge of your
handset, the display automatically dims during
calls. Press the OK key to restore the display.
To configure the number of seconds that elapse
before the display dims, change the “first value”
timer in Power save settings. For more information,
see “Configuring Power save” (page195).
