34 AXIS 241QA/AXIS 241SA - Pan Tilt Zoom
PTZ controls
If the AXIS 241QA/AXIS 241SA has been appropriately configured, the Live View page
will display the controls available for the installed PTZ device. The administrator can
enable/disable the controls for specified users.
The exact controls shown depend on the make and model of PTZ device. There may be
Focus and Iris bars available as well, but the most common controls are:
the Pan bar - moves the camera to the right and left
the Tilt bar - tips the camera up and down
the Zoom bar - zooms the view in and out. Note that this is only available if the
camera is fitted with a zoom lens.
Clicking on the bars or on the arrows at the end of the bars will move the camera to a new
position. The type of movement and the location of this new position depends on the type
of PTZ driver.
When controlling the camera using a relative PTZ driver (see the bars in the illustration
above) the new position is relative to the previous position, for example, left of, below,
above. Clicking the bar further from the center results in a larger movement.
