INSTALLING AND

CONNECTING

1.Connect one end of the phone line cord [23] to the phone line jack [20] on the base unit [15] and the other end to the phone line socket.

2.Insert the AC adapter [22] cable plug into its jack [21] on the base unit [15], insert the AC adapter [22] cable plug into the wall socket of your electric mains supply (220V AC).

3.Install the rechargeable battery [18] into the battery compartment [17] of the handset [1], close the compartment [17] with the battery compartment cover [19].

4.Place the handset [1] on the base unit [15]. The rechargeable battery has to be fully charged before you can use it, therefore charge it for 14 hours.

Notes:

1.When the rechargeable battery needs recharging, it will recharge intensively for the first few hours and after that it will begin to charge slowly. During that intensive charging the handset can heat up – this is normal and not dangerous. The handset will cool down during the slow charging phase.

2.In order to maximize on the noiseless range, put the main unit in a convenient, high place that is located away from other electric devices such as refrigerators, PC, TV and any other telephones.

An Aquarel series handset will not operate without a mains power supply. Therefore, to make an emergency call in cases of power failure, you will have to use another telephone that does not need any external power supply.

Switching the telephone on and off

To switch the telephone off: press and hold the button [7] in the standby mode for no less than 2 seconds.

To switch the telephone on: press the button [7]. If the battery is discharged, the telephone will not switch on.
