STEP 6 - INSERTING THE PORTAFILTER
Place the portafilter underneath the group head
so that the handle is aligned with the insert
graphic.
STEP 7 – ExTRACTING THE ESPRESSO
Ensure all the button surrounds on the control
panel are illuminated, indicating the machine
has reached the correct temperature for
brewing, and is ready for use.
Ensure the drip tray and portafilter are in
place.
Place one or two pre-warmed cups beneath
the portafilter outlet.

NOTE: When using a 1 cu p filter, for
optimal flavour, you shou ld only
extract approxim ately 30ml. Wh en
using a 2 cup filter, for opti mal
flavour, you should only ex tract
approximately 60 ml.
Press the one cup button once. A preset
dose of approximately 30mls will be delivered.
A pumping noise will be heard in this operation.
The machine will automatically stop once the
preset pour has been delivered.
NOTE: PRE-BREW FUNC TION When a
single or double cof fee is selecte d,
the machine will pu mp water
momentarily, follow ed by a pause
then continues to pu mp the water
through to the grou nd coffee in
the portafilter. The g round coffee
is moistened by a small a mount
of water before full ex traction
then expands resul ting in greater
pressure build- up to extract all t he
oils and full flavour fr om the ground
coffee.
Insert the portafilter up into the group head and
rotate the handle to the right until resistance is
felt, this will be at an approximate 90° angle to
the machine.
NOTE: The amount of es presso extra cted
in the cup will vary d epending on
your grind and dose am ounts.
