Choosing a location
Place your MFC on a flat , stable surface that is fre e of vibration and
shocks, such as a desk. Put the MF C near a telephone wall jack a nd
a standard, AC power outlet. Choose a location where the
temperature remains between 50 °F and 95°F (10°-35°C). To make
sure the ADF can feed the max imum of 35 pages, keep the
temperature between 68°F-86°F (20°-30°C).
Caution
■Avoid placing your MFC in a high -traffic area.
■Avoid placing your MFC on the carpet.
■Do not place near heaters, ai r conditioners, water, chemi cals, or
refrigerators.
■Do not expose the MFC to direct sunlight, excessive heat,
moisture, or dust.
■Do not connect your MFC to elect rical outlets controlled by wall
switches or automatic tim ers.
■Disruption of power can wipe out information in the MFC’s
memory.
■Do not connect your MFC to elec trical outlets on the sam e circuit
as large appliances or other equipment that might disrupt the
power supply.
■Avoid interference sour ces, such as speakers or the base unit s
of cordless phones.
